Theme song "SONIC DRIVE" plays.
Previously... OMIT
Sonic lands in the swimming pool with a tremendous splash, waking Chris inside the house. He breaks through the surface and, stretching out his hand, takes Sonic's hand and pulls him to the surface.
Chris: Are you all right?
Sonic: Yeah, thank you!
Chris: You can talk?
Sonic: Naturally, why not?
Chris: Wow, you're really talking. I... I'm Chris! And you are? What's your name?!
Sonic: I'm Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog!
Title card "Infiltrate! Area 99" is shown.
Thorndyke Mansion - Patio.
It is now daytime. Chris is out on the balcony, talking on the phone with his mother, Lindsey Thorndyke, while Sonic is reclining on the roof above him.
Lindsey: I'm sorry. Filming has been delayed because of the constant rainy weather. So I don't think I can return home till next week. But as a token of my apology, I'll send you your presents soon by air. Oh, this picture has been a disaster, darling. A complete disaster! We've had to stop shooting because there's been torrential rain for days, so there's nothing I can do besides sit and wait. I don't think I'll be back until late next week at the earliest, but I've had plenty of time to go shopping, and I'm having lots of wonderful presents sent. I hope you'll like them. They're coming on Daddy's jet, so you should have them by tonight!
Chris: Okay. OMIT
Lindsey: I got you your favorite, cotton candy, too.
Chris: Thank you! ... You know what, Mom? Actually, there's something I have to apologize to you about. Thanks, Mom! ... Mom, there's something I have to- Well, there's something I did which I'm kinda not supposed to.
Lindsey: What is it? Christopher, what happened?! Are you all right?
Chris: It's about my promise with you... about not going outside after midnight and staying away from the adult pool. Yeah, I'm totally fine. But remember how you said about how I'm not allowed to swim at night, and how you wanted me to stay away from the adult pool?
Tanaka appears to place Chris' breakfast on the table and leaves.
Lindsey: Did you swim at that time of night? Did you go swimming in the adult pool at night by yourself?!
Chris: No, it's not that. I helped a drowning cat. Uh... Well... Not exactly. You see, there was this "cat" in the pool, and I got it out.
Sonic looks annoyed. Chris blushes.
Lindsey: I see. It's all right. I'm not angry at you. You're so kind, Chris. Goodbye. Oh, you have a big heart, just like I do. Next time, ring for Mr. Tanaka, and he'll take care of things, all right? Oh darling, I must run. Kiss Mommy goodbye.
Lindsey and Chris make kissing sounds over the phone before hanging up.
Lindsey: OMIT Ciao, sweetheart.
Chris scratches behind his head, relieved that the call is over. Sonic leaps down onto the railing.
Sonic: Was that "cat" supposed to be me? Take a good look; I'm a hedgehog, not a cat!
Chris: 🙋‍♂️ Yeah. Are you angry at me?... You see, she wouldn't understand if I said I saved a hedgehog. 🙋‍♂️ Uh... I know. Please don't be mad. You see... my mom wouldn't understand.
Sonic: What do you mean? Why wouldn't she?
Chris: Because hedgehogs are much smaller. Well, first of all, she knows I wouldn't risk diving into a pool in the middle of the night just to save a little hedgehog.
He makes a rough measurement with his hands.
Chris: Maybe this big at most? OMIT
Sonic: OMIT Really.
Chris: You're special. You're larger than normal and besides, you can talk, too. Where and when did you learn to speak? What else could I say to her? I couldn't tell her that I saved a blue talking hedgehog. That reminds me... When and where did you learn to talk, Sonic?
Sonic: I wonder... I don't remember something so long ago. Good question... Unfortunately I don't have a very good answer, as I don't remember.
Chris: Really? OMIT
The phone rings. Chris answers it. It's his dad, Nelson Thorndyke.
Chris: Oh... Hello. Oh, Dad... Hello?
Nelson: OMIT Chris, is everything all right?
Chris: Hey, Dad! How are ya?
Nelson: Hi, Chris. Mom told me that a cat entered our pool last night? I'm sorry, Chris! The security's not good enough if a cat can get in so easily. I'm fine, but your mother just called and told me you made an emergency rescue last night. I guess our security system can't protect against stray cats that decide they want to go for a moonlight swim. Chris, I know you like animals, but what you did was dangerous! Were you hurt? Did the cat scratch you while you were trying to save it?
Sonic becomes annoyed again, this time more so than before.
Chris: Don't be. No problem. It's just fine. I shooed it away in no time. It panicked and hurried off when I glared at it. Mm-mm. No scratches at all. I'm fine, Dad. Honest, I am. It really wasn't that big a deal. After I jumped in and got it out of the water, It was really happy! I could tell.
Nelson: I see. Yeah. Gotcha. Yeah.
Chris: Besides, Grandpa, Ella, and Mr. Tanaka are all with me at home. But more importantly, you're busy. Aren't you? Besides, I could've had Grandpa, Ella, or Mr. Tanaka to help me if I need to. Don't worry, Dad. They're taking good care of me.
Nelson: Yeah, very. Yeah, they'd better be. Listen, Chris, I've got an important meeting to run to. You call me any time you need anything. No more late night swims, promise?
Chris: I'm really fine, okay? OMIT
Nelson: Oh, okay. I'm hanging up then. I love you, Chris.
Chris: Me too, Dad. Bye. Okay, Dad. I promise. See ya soon!
They hang up. It is evident that Sonic can't take any more of this "cat" business. Chris blushes and laughs nervously. Then he realizes something.
Chris: Oh by the way, what about breakfast? What do you eat? Mm. I almost forgot. You must be pretty hungry. I was thinking you must like to have something to eat.
Sonic: What do hedgehogs here eat? Yeah, I guess I could go for something. What's on the menu?
Chris: I checked it out on the Internet and this is what I found. I checked out hedgehogs on the Internet and found the perfect thing!
Chris holds a plate of an unknown type of food in front of Sonic, who takes one bite and gags.
Sonic: Yuck! What is this?! Oh! What is this?!
Chris: Cat food. Cat food.
Sonic: No way! Give me a break! Bleh! No wonder it tastes like there's cat in it!
Chris: Well there seems to be food for hedgehogs too, but it says cat food will do just fine. You could also eat dried crickets... The website I went to said most hedgehogs love cat food. I guess that doesn't go for all hedgehogs. I can get you a bowl of crickets.
Sonic knocks the plate out of Chris' hands and leaps off the railing onto a tree branch.
Chris: Where are you going?! No! Please don't run away!
Sonic: I unfortunately happen to be a gourmet. Sorry kid, but crickets don't do it for me.
Chris: No, you shouldn't go outside! I'll get whatever you want, but just don't go!
Sonic: See you! Heh. See ya!
He leaps away.
Chris: Wait! Wait, Sonic! Come back! Sonic! You could get hurt out there!
Theme song "Gotta Go Fast" plays.
Thorndyke Mansion - Living room.
Chris and Sonic are watching Sonic's escapade from the night before on the television. Sonic is eating chips as news reporter Scarlet Garcia reports what happened.
Scarlet: It is so fast that it is difficult to understand just by looking at the footage. But we have some eyewitness reports. The supersonic speed demon seen here on police helicopter video has the city baffled.
Police Officer: It is about this big and blue. It looks to be a hedgehog. It was about this high, it was blue, and it looked like a freak!
Driver 1: It went right by me at tremendous speed. I was doing about sixty when this thing went - wooo! - right by me!
Driver 2: No exaggeration. I'm sure he was going at mach speed. That thing moved too fast to be a regular animal!
There is then a cut to Dr. Kai Narasu. He is holding a monkey who is playing with his glasses.
Dr. Kai Narasu: As to the question of whether this is a UMA - Unidentified Mutant Animal, the answer is no.Even the cheetah, who is said to be the fastest animal around, cannot outrun a car. There could never be an animal who can run that fast. It would be more reasonable to consider it more a machine than an animal. As to the question of whether this is a UMA - Unidentified Mutant Animal - it is positively not. Even the cheetah, which is widely believed to be the fastest member of the animal kingdom, cannot outrun a speeding Formula One police car. Because of this thing, an inescapable conclusion one must inevitably come to is that this so-called "hedgehog" is, in reality, a machine.
Chris: Is it good? OMIT
Sonic: It's okay, I guess.
Suddenly, the door opens, and in walks Chris' grandfather, Chuck Thorndyke.
Chuck: Did you hear about it, Chris? A mysterious machine that beat the S-Team appeared. There you are! Guess what? A big, blue hedgehog came out of nowhere and outran the S-Team yesterday!
Chris looks bashful as he and Sonic exchange glances. Chuck then notices Sonic, and Chris smothers the latter with a pillow in an attempt to hide him.
Sonic: Hey, just what do you think you're doing, Chris?! Gah! Cut it out! I can't breathe!
Sonic throws the pillow off of him. Chuck looks at Sonic again.
Chuck: Blue... Looks to be a hedgehog... Blue... Just like that-
His face changes to one of shock and realization. He grabs Sonic who immediately begins protesting.
Chuck: Was it him? It's him!
Chris: No, well, uh... Easy, Grandpa!
Chuck pulls out a screwdriver.
Chris: OMIT Grandpa, what are you doing?!
Chuck: I wonder how he's made? I have to see how this thing is put together!
He digs the screwdriver into Sonic, who begins yelping.
Sonic: Stop! OMIT
Sonic leaps out of Chuck's grasp and onto the floor across from the coffee table.
Chuck: Don't run away! Stand still!
Chris: Grandpa... he... Sonic is not a machine. Grandpa, wait. He's not a machine. He's Sonic the Hedgehog!
Chuck blinks and drops the screwdriver.
Scarlet: OMIT Now let's go live to this late-breaking story.
Suddenly, the sound of Cream and Cheese on the television diverts their attention.
Cream: Please stay away. I'm scared. [crying] Oh, please...
Cheese: Chao! Chao chao...
On the screen, Cream and Cheese can be seen trapped on a billboard. Several firefighters are climbing a ladder to rescue them.
Cream: Please stay away. Please, leave us alone!
Sonic: Cream and Cheese! It's Cream and Cheese!
Chris: Do you know them? It's who?
Sonic: So I'm not the only one who came to this weird world. Okay, hang on! I'm not the only one who got transported into this weird world after all. I'll save those two!
Sonic dashes out of the mansion, only to be stopped by Chris' voice.
Chris: Do you know where to go?! Do you know where they are?!
Sonic skids to a halt and runs back, shrugging with a sheepish grin. Chris just blinks.
Thorndyke Mansion - Garage.
Chris, Chuck, and Sonic are now in the garage, with the door open. Chuck is on the phone.
Chuck: Yeah, you're a great help. Thanks. Let's get together for a meal one day soon. I thought they'd probably do something along those lines. Well, thanks very much for getting me the scoop and I'll talk to you soon.
He hangs up.
Chuck: They seem to have been transported from the police to Area 99. Well, it seems Sonic's friends have been captured by the police and moved to Area 99.
Chris: Area 99? Area 99?
A shot of Area 99 is shown.
Chris: That's a military research facility! That's that top-secret military base.
Sonic: Military? What?
Chris: Yeah, the National Defense Force. They have war tanks, fighter planes, and weapons of war. It's where the National Defense Force keeps all their tanks, fighter jets, and hi-tech spy equipment.
Sonic: Something like Eggman! That sounds like Eggman's kind of place...
Chuck: They've been brought to military facilities to be checked out, I see. Maybe they think you guys are some sort of aliens or biological weapons that had been developed in another country. [turns to Sonic] What is in fact the truth? Huh? Your friends have been taken their by the army and placed under a twenty-four hour guard. The authorities believe they could be aliens, or perhaps members of a mutant species developed by an enemy power designed to attack our population. [turns to Sonic]I wonder if they might not be right, Sonic, eh?
Sonic: I have no idea. So now that I know where they are, I guess I'll excuse myself. Think what you want. I'm gone. Now that I know where my friends are, I'm outta here.
He starts to walk out of the garage.
Chris: But if you go in like that, they'll catch you too. But if you show up at Area 99, they'll lock you up, too!
Sonic: I'm not such a klutz. They can't lock me up!
The garage door closes.
Sonic: Just what do you think you're doing?! Whoa! ... [demanding] Open that door!
Chris: I didn't do it! Don't look at me! I didn't do it!
Chuck: I did! Ha! It was me!
Sonic just blinks. Chuck flexes his muscles.
Chuck: This is quite interesting. I'm getting pretty excited. You're gonna need some help, Sonic. I'll go with you!
Chris: Not you too, Grandpa. Grandpa, are you serious?
Chuck: You come along, too. You're always saying that you don't want to be a bore like your dad, right? Of course I'm serious. And you're coming along too. You told me you don't want to lead a boring life like your father, so here's your chance for some excitement!
Chris: Agh, that's supposed to be a secret. Don't tell Dad I said that. Well, if you're up for it, I'm up for it! Just don't tell Dad.
Chuck: I know. All right, let's get going!
The open desert.
Chuck is driving Chris and Sonic to Area 99. Chris is sitting in the passenger seat, while Sonic is in the back seat.
Sonic: I can't be wasting my time riding something like this. It's gonna take forever to get there. I'd rather just go by myself.
Chuck: Now now. Chill out.
Chris holds up a device.
Chris: This is it, right? Is it time?
Chuck: Right. It's time.
Chris hands the device to Sonic.
Chris: Put it on. Put it on!
Sonic: What is it? What's this?
Chuck: An infrared scope. I'm sure that Area 99 is full of infrared sensor traps. But, if you wear that, you can detect the traps. An infrared scope. I'm certain that Area 99 is full of infrared motion detectors that set of security alarms. If you wear that, you may be able to avoid them.
Sonic puts on the infrared scope and gives two thumbs up.
Sonic: Thank you. I'm going on ahead. Mm-hmm! ... See you later, guys!
He unbuckles his seat belt, leaps out of the car, and races ahead of the car until he is out of sight. Chris and Chuck are both amazed at Sonic's speed.
Chuck: He is way faster than what I thought. Okay, then! He certainly is a speedy little critter, isn't he? Yeah!
He floors the gas and takes off after the speeding hedgehog.
Area 99.
The outer gates have "No Trespassing" labels on them. The walls are several feet high, and there are sirens everywhere. Workers are busy in the control room. A man waits for a signal before entering a door. A camera follows him as he walks to another door. He stops before the door and looks into an eye scanner which promptly scans and verifies his eye.
Mainframe: ID Number F219563, match verified. Identification Number F219563 confirmed.
With the eye scanner confirming his identity, the door to the laboratory opens, and the man enters. Cream and Cheese are trapped inside a large glass container. Evidently they are being experimented on.
Cream: Please let us out of here! We didn't do anything! Please let us out!
A camera moves toward them and begins to inspect them.
Cream: What is this place? What do you plan to do with us? What kind of place is this? Cheese, we've got to get out of here!
The camera shows a heat signature of Cream and Cheese.
The open desert.
Sonic is racing towards Area 99 as fast as he can. Chris' voice comes in over Sonic's headset.
Chris: [over radio] Do you read me, Sonic? [over radio] Sonic, can you hear me?
Sonic: [on radio] Yeah. [on radio] Yeah.
Chris: [over radio] When you get inside, go through the air vent. That should be a blind spot for security, says Grandpa. [over radio] Remember, when you get to the main building, go in through an air vent. That should be a blind spot for security.
Chuck nods to confirm Chris' words.
Chris: OMIT [on radio] Got it?
Sonic: [on radio] All right. [over radio] Got it!
Chris: [over radio] But do you know where they're being held captive? But Grandpa, after he gets inside, how will he find where his friends are?
Chuck: Of course I know. Give me that.
He takes the headset from Chris and puts it on himself.
Chuck: [on radio] If you keep going in suspicious-looking directions, I'm sure it'll take you to your destination. [on radio] Listen to me, Sonic. Once you get inside, you won't have much time so think quickly and act quickly.
Chris: Oh no. Talk about irresponsible. Grandpa, what if he doesn't?
Sonic: [on radio] Oh well, I'll work it out somehow. [on radio] Thanks for the tip. I'm goin' in!
Area 99.
Sonic arrives at Area 99 and leaps clear over the gates. The security cameras follow him.
Inside, the officers scan the grounds for Sonic.
Mainframe: Intruder. Verifying... Intruder alert. Sector D. Intruder Alert. Sector D.
The cameras try to detect Sonic, but he is too fast for them. He then finds an air vent and leaps down the chute. A camera turns to the vent, but Sonic is already inside.
Sonic: [on radio] I'm inside the air vent. [on radio] I'm inside the air vent.
Chris has the headset back from Chuck.
Chris: [on radio] Roger. [on radio] Be careful.
Sonic lands at the bottom and rubs where he landed.
Sonic: This sure is deep. So... Oh... It feels like I have skid marks on my butt!
He looks ahead in surprise. There are red lasers everywhere, undetectable without the infrared lens.
Sonic: Some blind spot this is... OMIT
Chris: [over radio] What did you just say? [over radio] How's it looking there, Sonic?
Sonic: [on radio] Nothing. [on radio] Just great.
Sonic sees a grille leading into the halls right in front of the first group of lasers.
Sonic: I can handle that movement hands down. This'll be a piece of cake!
He removes the grille, waits until the camera is facing away from him, and leaps down onto the floor. He nimbly dashes down the hall, remaining out of sight of the cameras.
Sonic: Piece of cake. I'm too fast for 'em!
He turns to the next hallway which also has swiveling cameras.
Sonic: Okay, now! Heads up!
He easily avoids the sights of the cameras.
Eyecatch card for Cream the Rabbit is shown.
Eyecatch card for Cheese is shown.
Pause for commercial break.
Meanwhile, the security officers are still searching for Sonic.
Mainframe: Continuing verification process... Continuing verification process... Searching for intruder... Searching for intruder... Searching for intruder...
Meanwhile, Sonic has slightly more difficulty dodging the camera's line of sight. One of them faces down, nearly catching him, before Sonic dodges around a corner.
The open desert.
The car has stopped near the edge of a drop off, with a perfect view of Area 99.
Chris: I wonder if he's okay. I wonder if he's okay...
Area 99.
A mesh begins to lower around Cream's confinement container. As it reaches the floor, a 3D image of Cream and Cheese appears on one of the screens. The scientists are amazed at it.
Cream: This is scary. I don't like this...
Cheese: Chao... Chao...
Meanwhile, Sonic arrives in front of the door to the laboratory.
Sonic: [to himself] This place sure looks suspicious. But how should I make it inside? If it's only me, I can handle it. But I'll have to bring Cream and Cheese with me, so I can't get too reckless. [to himself] Maybe that's where they are. I have to get inside and check it out. This won't be easy. If it was just me, I could get out quick, but if I have to bring Cream and Cheese with me, I can't get too reckless.
Suddenly the lights go out.
Mainframe: Abnormality detected in the electrical system... Abnormality detected in the electrical system... Abnormality detected in the electrical system... Abnormality detected in the electrical system...
There are dozens of what look like paper airplanes embedded in the wires, causing them to spark.
Officer 1: What's up?! Ah, great.
Officer 2: I can't see a thing! Now we can't see anything!
They then hear the sound of glass shattering.
Officer: What was that sound?! What the-?!
Officer: OMIT Hey, where'd they go?
The glass that surrounded Cream and Cheese is broken, and they are gone. They and Sonic are hiding just out of sight.
Cream: Sonic- Son-
Sonic silences her. The officers might hear. Cheese cries excitedly and hugs Sonic.
Sonic: Cut it out... [laughs]
The officers immediately turn to the sound of the noise.
Officer: OMIT Over there!
Sonic: We're going to run for it. Let's go.
Cream: Okay. Right.
Sonic hands Cheese to Cream and takes off. Cream follows.
Meanwhile, a few electricians are inspecting the sudden cause of the power outage. One of them plucks one of the paper airplanes from a wire and inspects it.
Electrician: A paper plane? What are these things?
He sees some electrical currents running through the circuits on the plane. The electrician blinks in surprise.
Electrician: Absurd! Who did this? ... Never mind that! Get the electricity back working on the double! Aah! Somebody has sabotaged the whole system! Boys, let's move it! We need the power back now!
Meanwhile, Sonic and Cream are running down the hall as fast as they can. Apparently the cameras are not working as well.
Cream: Did you do this too, Mr. Sonic? Wow, Sonic, how did you shut off all the electricity?
Sonic: No I didn't. Just randomly happened. I didn't do it, Cream. I guess it just happened.
Cream: You probably have the power to summon good luck. Maybe it just happened because you bring good luck everywhere you go, Sonic.
Sonic: You think so? You might be right!
Just then, the power comes back on, and the cameras swivel in their direction.
Cream: Gasp! Gasp!
Cheese: Chao! Chao!
Cream: Could it be? I'm sorry, because I said something I shouldn't have. You shouldn't have said anything. It must be a jinx.
Sonic: It has nothing to do with you. This isn't your fault.
The tops of the cameras open, revealing laser blasters.
Sonic: Shit! Let's go! Cream, hang on.
Cream: Okay! Right.
They dash down the hall, narrowly avoiding lasers.
The open desert.
The alarm can be heard even from outside.
Chris: Sonic. What's the matter?! Are you all right?! Sonic, what's going on? Are you and your friends all right?
Area 99.
Sonic and Cream are still running and avoiding laser fire.
Sonic: No problem. Not exactly.
Sonic lets go of Cream's hand.
Cream: OMIT Sonic!
Sonic: Run! Run!
Cream: But... OMIT
Leaping into the air, he destroys one camera, then grabs another and uses it to fire at all the other cameras in the hall. One camera falls in front of Cream.
Sonic: I said run! Keep running!
He yanks the camera out of its socket.
Cream: Okay! Right!
She takes off running as Sonic drops the camera.
Meanwhile, the officers are monitoring their progress.
Mainframe: D2 area blocked off. D2 area lock down in progress...
The doors begin closing. One of them is closing right in front of Cream.
Cream: We're going to be locked in! The door! We can't make it out!
Sonic leaps down from one of the cameras.
Sonic: Oops! OMIT
He scoops up Cream and races under the door. It finishes closing seconds later. They then find that there are more cameras facing them. Suddenly, a fleet of makeshift paper airplanes fly down the hall in their direction.
Cream: What are those?! What are they?
The paper airplanes target and destroy the cameras.
Cream: What's going on? I don't understand. What's going on?
Sonic: I don't know, but now's our chance! We can't stick around to find out!
They race under another closing door.
Meanwhile, the security officers receive reports of this.
Mainframe: There are a multitude of intruders... Multitude of intruders... Facility lockdown in progress... Facility lockdown in progress... Facility lockdowwnn iiinnn pppprrrooo... [the mainframe voice dies]
Officer: OMIT Wha?!
The screens gradually shut down. The lights go out again.
Officer: The laser surveillance cameras are out of control! The laser surveillance cameras are out of control!
Sure enough, the cameras are wildly and randomly firing. They begin to shoot holes in the walls as Sonic and Cream race up the stairs.
Cream: You honestly aren't doing all this, Mr. Sonic? Sonic, are we going to make it out?
Sonic: I told you no! Don't worry! We'll make it!
One rogue lase hits the staircase between Sonic and Cream, causing the latter to fall.
Cream: Aaaahhhh! Aaaahhhh!
Sonic: OMIT No!
Pause for commercial break.
But Sonic catches her at the last minute and pulls her up as the lasers destroy parts of the stairwell. They jump over broken parts of the stairs as they escape. Sonic scales several stories before finally setting Cream down near the top.
Sonic: We're safe now. You were scared. Weren't you, lady? See, Cream? I told you we'd make it, and we did. You didn't doubt me, did you?
Cream shakes her head.
Cream: No. Thank you, Sonic. Mm-mm. Thank you for saving us.
Sonic: Ah, it was nothing really. Ah, any time, Cream, any time.
Sonic then becomes aware of a noise outside.
Sonic: That noise is... Huh? Hey, what's that?
He removes his headset and puts his ear to the wall.
Sonic: It's the sound of a plane. ... Oh I see. Sounds like a plane... The Tornado!
Meanwhile, Tails is outside, piloting the Tornado II near Area 99.
Tails: I wonder if it's just about here? This must be the place.
Sonic, who is cradling Cream, bursts through the roof and heads toward the plane.
Tails: Perfect calculation! All right, Sonic!
He banks to starboard, allowing Sonic to land on the wing.
Sonic: Hi there. Hey!
Tails: Hi! Ha-ha!
Cream: I see. So it was you, Tails. It was you. You're the one who helped us get out of there.
Tails winks at not only Cream, but also the viewer(s).
Tails: Hang on tight, so you don't fall off! I helped, but Sonic's the real hero!
Down below, Chris looks on in amazement as the Tornado flies by.
Chuck: So shall we get going too then? Well, Chris, mission accomplished. Let's head for home.
Thorndyke Mansion - Garage.
Everyone is congregating in the garage.
Chris: I'm Chris. I just got to be friends with Sonic last night. My name's Christopher. Sonic landed in our swimming pool last night, and I dove in and saved him.
Tails: I'm Tails! I always hang around with Sonic. Right, Sonic? My name's Tails, and I'm Sonic's very best buddy! Heh, right, Sonic?
Sonic: Sort of. Correct.
Cream: I'm Cream and this is my friend Cheese. [both bow] Nice to meet you. My name is Cream, and this is my very special Chao friend Cheese. [both bow] Thanks for helping us.
Chris: Yeah, same here. It seems we'll become good friends. It's very nice to meet all of you. I have a feeling we're all gonna become really good friends.
Chris then introduces Chuck, why is studying one of Tails' paper airplanes.
Chris: He's my grandfather. Oh, and this is my grandfather.
Chuck: Fantastic! I've never seen such micron sized radio controlled planes before. Extraordinary! Tiny radio-controlled airplanes. Extraordinary!
Tails rubs under his nose.
Tails: Something like this is no big deal. We've got lots of neat gadgets!
Chris turns to Sonic.
Chris: But... You're too reckless! You're dealing with the military, you know! War could've broke out. Listen, Sonic! This isn't some game we're playing, you know! You could've gotten us all thrown in jail!
Sonic: It'll work out somehow. Maybe I could've, but I didn't, did I?
Chris: That's not the point. Couldn't you have tried to be more careful?
Sonic just shrugs.
Chuck: No, well, this is really fantastic. Where did you learn all this scientific technology? This is an amazing piece of equipment. It goes beyond anything I've ever seen. How did you develop it?
Tails: Where? All I can say is I learned it in the world that I came from. It's nothing special -- not in the world we come from.
Chuck: So where is that world? And where exactly is that world, Tails?
Tails: I wonder? We were thrown into this world through a warp in space. Beats me... But I think we got here through a warp in time and space.
Chuck: Hmm. Very interesting! Very very interesting! Hmm... Very interesting. Not very helpful, but interesting.
Chris is still mad at Sonic.
Chris: My god! OMIT
Sonic just ignores him.
Tails: Uh, Sonic. If you, I, Cream and Cheese were all affected by that accident, could it also be that all the others are here too? I just thought of something. If you and me and Cream and Cheese are here, maybe the others got here too.
Sonic: The others who were there at that time were Knuckles, Amy, and... You might be right about that, Tails. If you are, then it means... maybe...
There is a flashback of Dr. Eggman holding the red Chaos Emerald and laughing.
Sonic:

Tails: Cream:

Dr. Eggman! Eggman's here too!
Eggman's base.
Sure enough, Dr. Eggman, his robots, Bocoe, Decoe, and the tower were transported to Earth. The tower is located on an island somewhere. There are probe robots in the sky above the base. Eggman looks at a monitor.
Eggman: Oh. So we were thrown into this world by Chaos Control, eh? Oh well. I'll establish the foundation for the Eggman Empire in this world. Then I'll expand my territory to other worlds! So... We were transported into this world by Chaos Control. Very well then. I'll rebuild the foundation of the Eggman Empire here, and soon I'll rule the entire universe!
Dr. Eggman cackles evilly.
Credits theme "Fu-tu-re" plays. Credits theme "Gotta Go Fast" plays.
