Kanemaru Junichi

Jun'ichi Kanemaru (born 27 October 1962) is the Japanese seiyū/voice actor of Sonic the Hedgehog and Neo Metal Sonic. He is Sonic's most famous and longest-lasting voice actor for the games and in the anime series, Sonic X in Japan. He is not only a voice actor, but a singer as well. Some of his most popular songs are "Suddenly" and "Shall We Walk Together." Jun'ichi was an English teacher in Japan, which is why Sonic says English lines frequently in the Japanese versions of Sonic X and the games.

Kanemaru is also an accomplished singer. In 1993, Kanemaru made an album called "Inspired Colors". Songs on the album were in both the English and Japanese languages.
