E-77 Lucky (E-77 (ラッキー) E - 77 (rakkī)?) is a character that appears in the anime series Sonic X. It is a E-Series robot created by Dr. Eggman to find the seventh Chaos Emerald.

Appearance

Designed to be the ultimate lucky charm, Lucky's ridiculous and clumsy body is covered in good luck charm symbols. His main body is a large gold bell with two visible purple eyes and the number "7" painted on in red and it is covered in good luck charms, including four-leafed clovers and rabbits' feet.

History

Anime

Lucky was created because Eggman believed that with a little more luck, it could obtain all seven Chaos Emeralds. At first, Lucky seemed to have bad luck and was constantly falling down and getting into trouble. This all turned around when it has finally found the seventh Chaos Emerald. Unfortunately for Eggman, Lucky was not very obedient and actually helped Sonic the Hedgehog. During the following skirmish, Lucky got caught in a battle between Eggman and GUN, where it live up to its name by constantly dodging attacks that should have destroyed it.

Lucky later showed up at the Emerald Fighting Tournament, where it won a few rounds by default (due to his opponents never showing up or were forced to leave before fighting began). However, it finally lost against Emerl in the first semi-final match when it used up its energy supply taunting Emerl during their fight (which might have been a stroke of luck to protect Lucky from Emerl).

Powers and abilities

Per his design, Lucky is capable of altering probability to give itself extremely good luck. It found a Chaos Emerald without trying and has survived situations that destroyed other robots through sheer luck. It is also capable of flight using its wings.

Trivia

  • Lucky's only form of communication is through beeping.
