The Egg Viper is an object that appears in the anime series Sonic X. It was a giant viper-based mech created by Dr. Eggman for the purpose of eliminating Sonic, but was destroyed in their ensuring battle.

The Egg Viper is designed after a large flying viper (hence the name). It has two large red and grey spiked wheels on both side of the cockpit. The cockpit itself is round-shaped and is covered in thick red and grey armor with two fins on the bottom, yellow and black hazard stripes horizontally along the middle, a short fin op top with a red and grey tube on each side, and a large laser cannon down the front which can slide back to reveal the pilot. On the cockpit's rear it has three large red and grey flaps with a long red and grey segmented tail in the middle which has spikes and red spots running down it.
Powers and traits
The Egg Viper is capable of flight and can fire an intense laser from the cannon on the cockpit. Its tails are also quite powerful, being able to pin down even Sonic for a short while with brute force.[1]

Chaos Saga
The Egg Viper was created by Dr. Eggman as his secret weapon against Sonic after many of his previous plans were ruined by him.[2] Getting Sonic to meet him for what he saw as their final showdown, Eggman faced the hedgehog in his Egg Viper. After trading a few blows, it seemed like Eggman fled in in the Egg Viper. Instead, Eggman caught Sonic off-guard with an ambush from below and pinned him down with the Egg Viper's tail. However, Sonic soon got back up and smashed the Egg Viper with a powerful Spin Attack.[1]

The Egg Viper's size compared to Eggman.
- The Egg Viper is noticeably smaller than its game counterpart; whereas the Egg Viper's cockpit from the games could easily hold the Egg Mobile inside it, this version's cockpit had only just enough room to hold Eggman.
