E-57 Clurken is a robot created by Doctor Eggman in the anime series Sonic X.
Appearance[]
Clurken is a large robot several times of Sonic's size. It resembles a large jellyfish that has a lavender body with two yellow cylindrical sections and in between, a section of Clurken's body has red cores embedded on it. It is surrounded by a large hemisphere-shaped dome that appears clear although small areas of it can flash with multiple colours. Attached to its main body are several white tentacles each with a lavender nozzle at the end.
Clurken was 27 meters (90 feet) tall and weighed 12 tons.[1]
History[]
Clurken was ordered by Dr. Eggman to attack Sonic and his friends when they were diving underwater in search of a Chaos Emerald and refused to give it to the doctor. Taking advantage of the underwater drag limiting Sonic's running speed, Clurken was able to easily knock Sonic with its tentacles and missiles. When Sonic then tried to grab one of its tentacles, Clurken just simply flung him up into the surface, taking the fight out there. However, Sam Speed appeared and got Sonic to waterski out of Clurken's grasp. The robot tried to attack Sonic with missiles but missed and then was defeated by Sonic using his Ring-powered spin attack.[2]
