???:	Hey. … C'mon, wake up. … Wake up.	Hey, Emel... Wake up!
	The shot is taken from the viewpoint of a mechanical being as it opens its eyes and sees Bokkun looking at it. However, its view is blurry.
	It is revealed that they are inside Eggman's old base, and Bokkun is speaking to a robot.
Bokkun:	Wake up! Wake up! I said wake up! Hurry and wake up! I'll make you my servant, so wake up! Hurry and wake up!	I said wake up!! You can hear me, can't ya? Turn yourself on! What's the matter with ya? Did your brain short circuit? Come on, get up! We've got an important mission to carry out, and there's no time to lose!
	The robot's dim blue eyes glow slightly, and it nods.
Bokkun:	We have to carry out an important mission.	Good. I hope your batteries are all charged up, 'cause we're gonna have a really busy day.
	The robot slowly stands up. Spots of light appear in its eyes.
Bokkun:	👉 I'll let you be my servant. You have to do whatever I tell you.	👉 I'm in charge of this operation, so you have to obey all my commands, okay?
	The robot nods. Bokkun hovers above the ground in excitement.
Bokkun:	It's great that you're obedient! Come with me.	All right, Emel! Let's go!
	Bokkun flies over to a garage door. The robot breaks free of its wire restraints and follows Bokkun.
Bokkun:	Come this way, my servant!	[giggles]
	Bokkun presses the button that opens the garage door, flooding the room with bright sunlight.
Bokkun:	I'm going to run wild today! Let's go!	We're gonna give Sonic a real bach today! Forward, march!
	Bokkun laughs as they leave the base together.
Theme song "Gotta Go Fast" plays.
Title card "Amy, Love's Escape Journey!?" is shown.
Station Square.
	Various people are running around the park. Some of them are wearing Sonic-themed shirts. Scarlet Garcia is on the scene.
Scarlet:	In City Park, people have been jogging since the early morning. Our hero Sonic saved the world again. Admiring Sonic's speed, jogging has become the latest fad.	City Park has been overrun -- overrun by fitness fans obsessed with running. This new craze is all thanks to Sonic the Hedgehog. His heroics are inspiring thousands of people to put on their jogging shoes and run for fun.
	She speaks to one of the runners.
Scarlet:	Are you jogging because you admire Sonic?	Why did you decide to take up running, sir?
	The man wipes his sweat.
Man:	Yeah. I can't run as fast as him, but it feels good to run.	Uh, I don't know. Sonic has such a great time racing around, I thought I'd try.
Thorndyke Manor - Living room.
	The TV is tuned to the news station. Cream and Cheese are playing with toy blocks, and Chrs is reading. Vanilla is also present.
Scarlet:	This fad has even spread to the world of track and field. New world records are constantly being broken in competitions around the world. Sports science experts say that this is due to-	School officials and athletic coaches report that their track programs are more popular than ever, and new records are being set daily. Experts in sports psychology by the sudden turn of events-
???:	[shouting] Sonic!	[shouting] SONIC!!
	Suddenly an angry Amy storms into the room, causing the other to cower back.
Chris:	What?	Hi, Amy.
Cream:	Amy?	Whats wrong?
	Amy leaps up onto the table.
Amy:	Sonic, you can't hide from me! Hurry up and show yourself!	All right, where are you hiding, Sonic? You better come out now!
	Chris cautiously approaches Amy.
Chris:	What's wrong, Amy?	He's not here.
	But Amy puts Chris in a headlock and draws her hammer.
Amy:	Sonic, if you don't come out right now, I'm going to beat up Chris!	You can't fool me! I know you're hiding and Chris is covering for you, so come on out, Sonic!
Chris:	Amy?	I'm not covering for him. Sonic was here earlier, but he left, and he didn't say where he was going.
	Cream rushes over to Amy.	OMIT
Cream:	Please don't!
	Amy searches the room for Sonic.
Amy:	So he's not here...
	Amy releases Chris, and he sits on the ground and massages his neck.
Chris:	Why did you do that?
Cream:	Amy, you scared me!	Chris is telling the truth, Amy!
Cheese:	Chao!	Chao!
	Amy kneels on the table in front of Chris.
Amy:	Are you okay? I'm sorry. But I'm also serious.	I'd better find him right away, or there's gonna be big trouble.
Chris:	What do you mean?	Why? What's wrong?
Cream:	Did something happen between you and Sonic?	Is a monster attacking the city again?
Amy:	Sonic...	No, it's worse.
	She growls, causing Cream and Cheese to quiver.
Cream:	I think I said something that I shouldn't have.	I-I'm sorry Amy, I didn't mean to make you angry!
Cheese:	Chao chao!	Chao chao!
Chris:	Amy, will you please calm down and explain what's going on?	Take it easy. Just tell us what's going on and maybe we can help.
	A fiery aura appears around Amy.
Amy:	Sonic… Sonic stood me up!	Nobody can help! Sonic had a date with me and he never showed up! Aahh!
Chris:	Is that all?	Is that all?
Amy:	[menacing] What do you mean by that?	[menacing] Oh, so you think I'm overreacting.
Chris:	Because...	Well, just a little...
Amy:	We were supposed to go on a date! He promised to go on a date with me awhile back!	That's easy for you to say! It took him forever for him to ask me out! I was so excited that I ran out and bought new shoes!
	She kicks her feet in frustration.
Amy:	I bought new shoes and a ribbon just for today!	And a new hair ribbon!
Chris:	Shoes?	OMIT
Cream:	It's true.	They look very nice, Amy.
Amy:	[shouting] But Sonic didn't show up at the spot where we promised to meet!	[shouting] It doesn't matter how I look because Sonic stood me up!
	Amy buries her face in her hands, crying. Chris pats her back.
Chris:	I'm sure Sonic has his reasons.	I'm sure there's a good reason Sonic missed your date.
Amy:	What reasons?	Oh, yeah? Like what? [crying]
Chris:	Umm, for example… Oh yeah! 👉 Maybe he's fighting against one of Eggman's robots!	Well... Maybe he... I know! 👉 He had to stop Eggman from destroying the planet!
	Amy looks up.
Amy:	Eggman's in jail.	I thought Dr. Eggman was in prison.
	Chris covers his mouth.
Chris:	That's right.	Oh yeah, I forgot.
Amy:	Don't try to humor me.	Just like Sonic forgot our date.
Chris:	Anyway, can you get off the table?	Maybe he is coming, but he's running late.
	Just then, the doorbell rings.
Amy:	Sonic?	He's here!
	She races toward the door.
Amy:	Sonic!	Sonic!
	As Chris, Cream, and Cheese cough on the smoke in Amy's wake, she throws open the door.
Amy:	Sonic!	I'm ready...
	But alas, it is not Sonic who stands there, but Sam Speed instead.
Sam:	Is Sonic here? As promised, this is my latest vehicle that travels at the speed of sound.	Hey, is Sonic around, Amy? I just put a new engine in my car and he said he'd race me.
	Amy blinks in surprise.
Sam:	I greatly refurbished the driving system of this machine. It can even change form depending on the driving conditions. Isn't it amazing? Say that it's amazing!	I can't wait! My new engine runs on high-octane rocket fuel! It's got more horsepower than you can find in a rodeo. With this baby under the hood, I'll be taking a victory lap before Sonic leaves the starting line!
	Chris, Cream, and Cheese have joined Amy at the door.
Chris:	Uncle...	Hi, Uncle Sam.
Sam:	Chris, where's Sonic? He promised to race me today awhile ago.	I hope Sonic's not getting cold feet. When I called in this morning, he said he dodn't have anything else to do today.
	This sparks anger in Amy once again. Chris holds onto Cream as a blue fiery aura appears around Amy.
Sam:	What's wrong, young lady?	What's wrong? You looked steamed.
Amy:	[shouting] Sonic, you idiot!	[shouting] Sonic has a date with MEEEE!!!
Thorndyke Mansion - Outside.
	As Amy mindlessly doodles on the hood of Sam's car, Chris explains the situation to his uncle.
Chris:	And that's why Amy's upset.	She's upset because Sonic missed their date.
Sam:	I see. In other words, Sonic stood us both up.	Well, that's a bummer. Looks like Sonic made two different appointments and stood both of us up.
Chris:	I'm sure he has his reasons.	That doesn't sound like Sonic.
Amy:	He's totally forgotten about me. After all, he made plans with someone else on the same day.	I'm sure that Sonic doesn't care about me. That's why Sonic didn't show up for our date.
Cream:	Amy...	Amy...
Sam:	It's true that Sonic never cares about the little things. I can understand because I forget quickly too. [laughs]	Sonic's a busy guy. I bet I'd take lots of patience to date him, not to mention a pair of really excellent running shoes to keep up with him. [laughs]
Chris:	[annoyed] Uncle!	[annoyed] Uncle Sam!
Amy:	I've made my decision!	I know!
	She backflips into the car's passenger seat.
Amy:	Since he stood us both up, why don't we go on a date instead?	Since Sonic bailed on both of us, we'll go out together.
Chris:	Amy!	You two?
Amy:	[to Sam] Take me somewhere right this minute!	[to Sam] Come on; we'd better get going before the whole day is shot.
	Sam smirks before climbing into the driver's seat.
Sam:	Okay, Miss. Since he forgot about us, we'll have a good time together.	All right, Amy. Let's show Sonic we don't need him to have fun.
Chris:	You too, Uncle?	Hold on, Uncle Sam...
Sam:	Don't worry. We'll be back by nighttime. I leave fast, but I also return fast.	Don't worry. We won't be long. Last year I set a world record for speed dating.
	The car takes off.
Chris:	Is this okay?	This is crazy.
Cream:	Did Sonic really forget that he made appointments with both of them?	Poor Amy. She's been waiting to go out with Sonic for a long time.
	Chris wraps his arms around the back of his head.
Chris:	Sonic is really busy these days...	Yeah. Guess Sonic doesn't take dating as seriously as she does.
Cream:	That's horrible!	I think that's awful!
	She heads back inside.
Chris:	Hey! Cream, why are you also angry?	Hey, wait! Don't get mad at me! Get mad at Sonic!
The countryside.
Amy:	Sonic is too self-centered.	Sonic is the most self-centered guy I've ever met.
Sam:	The wind is refreshing and nice.	Ahh... This wind is really refreshing.
Amy:	He always runs off to wherever he wants to go and leaves me behind.	He's always running off on adventures without telling anybody, and I end up alone.
Sam:	The engine is working perfectly. My new machine is impressive.	This new engine is great, and it get awesome mileage too!
Amy:	He can't understand the feelings of those who can't catch up to him.	Even If I could keep up with Sonic, he's not the kind of guy who can settle down or even stand still for long.
	There are curves in the road ahead.
Sam:	Curves! I can show off my driving skills!	Whoa, S-turns! Wait'll you see how this baby handles!
Amy:	[annoyed] Are you listening to me?	[annoyed] You haven't heard a word I said!
Sam:	Then why don't you give up?	Hang on, here goes!
Amy:	What?	Huh?
	Sam skillfully navigates his car around the curves.
Sam:	If you don't think you can catch up to him, then give up. If it's not going to work, then you can deal with it by forgetting the whole thing.	Why waste time on Sonic if you can't catch him? After all, in life, you only get one lap around the track.
Amy:	But it might not be definitely over.	I don't know for sure that it can't work out with Sonic.
Sam:	I fall in love quickly, but I also forget quickly. That's one of my positive traits. [laughs]	I still say you tell him to hit the road, but I guess he already did. [laughs]
Amy:	🤦‍♀️ It was stupid of me to discuss with you about how girls feel.	🤦‍♀️ Let's drop this subject and figure out where we're gonna go.
Sam:	So where are we going?	You just name it.
Amy:	[snaps] The beach!	[snaps] The beach!
Sam:	At this time of year?	It's kinda far...
Amy:	☝ It's common knowledge that girls who get dumped go to the beach!	☝ Well Sonic doesn't like water so we won't run into him there!
Sam:	😉 All right! Princess, enjoy my graceful driving techniques down the coastline.	😉 You win, Princess. If you want to hide out from Sonic at the beach, then we'll coast to the coast.
Amy:	Thanks, umm... What was your name again? Supersonic Knight? Runaway Express of Love?	All right. Thank you. One more thing: let's agree not to talk about Sonic, okay?
Sam:	👍 You can call me Sam today.	👍 The hedgehog is now history.
A prison.
	Eggman, Bocoe, and Decoe, dressed in jail suits, are eating prison food.
Eggman:	I want seconds!	Prison food is the pits!
Decoe:	OMIT	This looks more like sewage than soup!
Bocoe:		It is lucky for us that we have no taste circuits.
	Eggman taps his spoon on the rim of his bowl.
Eggman:	This isn't enough!	I'm hungry! Bring me more!
	Decoe and Bocoe do the same.
Decoe:	We want seconds too!	We demand refills now!
Bocoe:	Hurry up and bring some more!	Hurry up, waiter!
	A prison guard comes along.
Prison Guard:	You just had seconds! Restrain yourselves!	Can it, or I'll throw you in solitary! Dinner time is over!
	The prisoners grasp the bars of their cell.
Eggman:	My super genius brain requires three times the energy of a normal person.	Don't you realize a genius like me needs more food than the average person? My superior brain burns up millions of calories!
Decoe:	I'll sue you for human rights violations!	This kind of treatment is inhuman!
Bocoe:	The evil detention officer is bullying us!	And it is bad for robots, too!
Prison Guard:	Be quiet!	Knock it off! This is a prison, not a four-star restaurant!
	But the prisoners rattle the bars of their cell.
Prison Guard:	Fine! Eat as much as you want!	Here! Now pipe down!
	He places the two buckets of food in front of the cell and walks away. They begin serving themselves.
Eggman:	That's what you should have done in the first place.	Slop some of that slop in my bowl!
	Soon they are eating more food.
Bocoe:	This place is wonderful.	One more meal like this and I am going to self-destruct.
Decoe:	We can eat as much as we like, and there's a heating system. It's paradise.	I wish we were back at the base. I am dying for a drink of motor oil.
Bocoe:	But we can't continue to live like this, Dr. Eggman.	We cannot take much more of this. When are we gonna get out of here, Doctor?
Eggman:	[quietly] Don't worry. I already have a plan.	[quietly] Relax. We'll be checking out of this dump any minute.
A shipping yard.
Eggman:	[cont.] They'll come to rescue us soon.	[cont.] If everything goes according to plan, our breakout team is about to give Sonic the runaround.
	Sonic is running through the shipping yard.
Sonic:	Sheesh...	OMIT
	He is forced to stop as a tank explodes out of one of the warehouses. A laughing Bokkun stands atop the tank.
Bokkun:	You can't escape from us!	What a coincidence, running into you!
	It is revealed that the robot is hooked up inside the tank. Its eyes glow red as opposed to their original blue.
Bokkun:	👉 I'm going to defeat Sonic today! Charge!	👉 I have an idea! Let's play a game! A shell game!
	The tank speeds toward Sonic, who leaps clear over it. The tank's cannon turns toward Sonic.
Bokkun:	Fire!	Fire!
	The cannon fire a shell at Sonic, who leans back to avoid it.
Bokkun:	Another!	OMIT
	Sonic limbos underneath two more shells. He seems to be enjoying himself - until Sonic finds himself staring up the tank’s barrel. Bokkun giggles.
Bokkun:	👉 Fire!	👉 Get him!
	The cannon fires, prompting Bokkun to cover his ears. When he looks up, he sees a smoldering hole in the ground.
Bokkun:	I did it!	All right!
	But he sees Sonic casually relaxing on the side of the tank. He soon takes off running as the tank pursues him.
Bokkun:	Wait!	OMIT
	Bokkun fires shell after shell at Sonic, who dodges them easily.
Bokkun:	Take that! … And that! … Wait!	Hold it, hedgehog! ... Yeah! Keep firing! Hahahaha!
The countryside.
	Amy and Sam find themselves surrounded in their car by a flock of bleating sheep.
Amy:	Hey! … I thought we were going to the beach!	Oh great. ... Didn't you tell me you knew a shortcut to the beach?
Sam:	It seems I became a little lost.	Heheh, sure, but I didn't say I was taking it, did I?
Amy:	👉 Hurry up and turn the car around!	👉 I bet you're lost, aren't you!
Sam:	😉 Don't get impatient, Miss. If we keep going straight, we'll eventually reach the beach.	😉 Hey, I never get lost. I just can't figure out where I am sometimes.
	Sam laughs, and the sheep continue bleating.
Amy:	[shouting] I'm going home!	[shouting] This date's a disaster!!
Eyecatch card for Emerl is shown.
Eyecatch card for Bomb Tank is shown.
Pause for commercial break.
A general store.
	A dusty and enraged Amy storms into the general storm, startling an old man inside.
Amy:	[snaps] Please give me a map.	[snaps] I need a map.
	The old man stand up.
Old Man:	Did you run through the desert?	Sure thing. Looks to me you could use a bath too.
Amy:	Yeah.	I know.
	As Amy tries to pat the worst of the dust off of her, Sam appears in the doorway.
Sam:	Don't worry about a map. You're too serious.	I guess I should've put the top down when we went down that dirt road.
Amy:	I want to go to the beach! I'm sick and tired of the desert, the ranch, the mountains and the forest!	We're not taking any more shortcuts. I'm buying a map and I'm gonna figure out the best route to get to the beach.
Sam:	There's a leaf in your hair.	Ah, what have we here?
	He removes the leaf and blows it away.
Amy:	Your car is your pride and joy, isn't it? So you should at least install a navigation system!	How can you be so easygoing? Don't you even care that we're lost?
Sam:	I like to drive. Arriving at a destination isn't important.	It doesn't matter to me where I end up, as long as I have fun gettin' there.
	Amy blinks in surprise.
Amy:	You're just like Sonic.	That sounds like something Sonic would say...
	The old man approaches them. He has a bag and a map in his hand.
Old Man:	So you really are Sonic's friends! I thought you looked familiar.	Sonic. You just said the magic word, miss. You don't happen to know Sonic, do ya?
Amy:	Yes, I'm Sonic's girlfriend. [blushes]	Of course I know him! Sonic and I are extremely close. [blushes]
Sam:	But he stood her up.	Except when they have a date.
	Infuriated at the memory, she stomps on Sam's foot, causing him to cry out in pain and hobble outside.
Sam:	Ouch!	OMIT
Old Man:	Sonic saved my grandson's life.	I owe your friend Sonic more than I could ever repay.
Amy:	Your grandson?	Why? What did Sonic do for you?
The ranch - Flashback.
	The old man's grandson is clinging to the back of a runaway horse, with the old man chasing and falling behind.
Grandson:	Grandpa!	Help! I can't stop the horse!
Old Man:	Stop!	OMIT
	He falls to his knees and gasps for air.
Grandson:	Help me!	Help me, Grandpa!
Old Man:	OMIT	Now what'll I do?
	Sonic races in and stops right in front of the horse, causing it to buck. He then grabs the grandson...
Sonic:	OMIT	Gotcha!
	...and returns him to his grandfather. They hug.
Old Man:	Steven!	Bobby Joe!
Grandson:	Grandpa!	Grandpa!
	Sonic pats the grandson.
Old Man:	Thank goodness!	OMIT
Grandson:	I was scared!
	Sonic gives a thumbs-up as the flashback ends.
The general store.
Amy:	I see...	Sonic came to the rescue again.
Old Man:	It seems like you went through a lot, but my family always rooted for you. Because Sonic is our hero. Here's the map, and take this too.	The welcome mat will always be out on my front porch for Sonic the Hedgehog. And any friend of Sonic's a friend of mine. Here, take it, and some candy too, with my compliments.
	He hands the map and bag to Amy. She waves as they drive away.
Amy:	OMIT	Bye-bye! Thanks for everything!
Old Man:	Give my regards to Sonic!	Bye! Tell Sonic I said hey!
The countryside.
	Once on the road again, Amy opens the bag.	OMIT
Amy:	[to herself] It's full of candy.
Sam:	He gave you a gift, but you're still in a bad mood.
Amy:	Sonic is the one who should've received this.
Sam:	For Sonic, helping people is common practice. I doubt he remembers the incident. [laughs]
	Amy selects one of the candies and unwraps it.
Amy:	The one who was rescued remembers. He's usually impolite, but when he sees people in trouble, he can't stop himself from helping them. He's actually very kind, so it's natural that everyone likes Sonic.
Sam:	I don't think Sonic will be angry if you eat that candy.
Amy:	But Sonic belongs to no one. He won't turn around and look at me.
	She eats the candy.
Amy:	Even if I chase after him, I can't catch him.
Sam:	By the way, about the appointment I made with Sonic… I made a mistake.
	Amy glances at Sam in surprise.
Sam:	I just remembered that the race will begin at sunset.
Amy:	So my date didn't overlap with your race?
Sam:	I couldn't wait to race because I was so excited, so I mistakenly thought the race was in the morning.
	Sam laughs. Amy eats another candy.
Amy:	So I'm the only one he stood up?
Sam:	He's probably practicing somewhere to prepare for our race.	You know, I just remembered something. Sonic and I are supposed to have our race tonight, not today.
Amy:	It must be nice to be so carefree.	Then Sonic only stood me up.
Sam:	People say to me, "Why don't you just drive for the rest of your life!" Or "I can't keep up with you!" Or "I can't wait for you forever!"	I forget sometimes. I guess when you move as fast as I do, it's hard for your memory to keep up with you. [laughs]
	He laughs.
Amy:	I feel the same way.	I wish I could forget Sonic.
The shipping yard.
	Sonic is still on the run from Bokkun's tank.
Bokkun:	I'm not letting you escape! Take this!	Get ready for the tele-blast! Fire!
	He fires a barrage of exploding TVs at Sonic, who avoids them and runs up the wall of a warehouse before leaping off toward Bokkun.
Sonic:	Here I come, kid!	Look out below!
Bokkun:	Please stop!	Don't hurt me!
	The robot's eyes glow red. Sonic lands on the barrel of the tank and ties it in a knot. Two giant hands emerge from the sides of the tank and trap Sonic within them, then throw him into a stack of crates. The tank approaches the crates, and its hands smash them. Sonic dodges.
Bokkun:	👉 All right! He's over there! Go!	👉 Let's give Sonic a hand!
	The tank's hands extend toward Sonic. As they reach him, the hedgehog leaps onto them and rides them back to the sender. The hands try to grab Sonic, but they twist with each other, causing the tank to fall on its side. Bokkun is thrown clear of the tank
Sonic:	Thanks to you, I'm late for my appointment!	Thanks to you, I'm running late for my date with Amy!
	He kicks the side of the tank, and a TV extends out of it. It crackles before exploding, taking the tank with it. Bokkun flies away from the smoke.
Bokkun:	You fool! I tricked you, Sonic! Right now, the other machine is freeing Dr. Eggman!	I fooled you! While you were runnin' away from me, another robot was breaking Dr. Eggman out of prison!
	Bokkun starts to fly away, but Sonic chucks a part of the tank at him, causing him to fall to the ground. Sonic emerges from the smoke.
Sonic:	The other machine?	Another robot?
	Sonic looks inside the ruins of the tank. The robot is no longer there.
A cafe.
	While Sam is inside the cafe, Amy is sitting on the hood of the car.
Amy:	I do understand. Sonic will never stay with me because he loves to run.	I guess I should just face facts. Sonic is always gonna be on the run. I guess the two of us just aren't meant to be.
	Sam returns with two ice cream cones. He hands one to Amy.
Sam:	Want to eat this?	Here.
Amy:	Thank you.	Thank you.
	They begin eating.
Amy:	It's the same with you, isn't it?	You're like Sonic, aren't you?
Sam:	Me? Well, if I could run like him, I'd be happy. But unfortunately, I have to rely on vehicles.	I wish. When Sonic wants to hit the road, all he needs are his feet. Unfortunately, I can't travel very fast without a car.
	Amy pats Sam's car.
Amy:	You'll never catch up to Sonic in this kind of car.	No car in the world can keep up with Sonic when he's running at full speed.
Sam:	Maybe.	Yeah, you're right.
Amy:	But you still drive?	Then why race him?
Sam:	Because that's my dream.	Hey, you still have to try.
	Amy looks down.
Amy:	Same here.	Yeah, that's the same way I feel.
	Suddenly a giant vehicle known as the Bomb Tank speeds down the road. Sam and Amy soon speed after it. Amy is standing in her seat.
Sam:	[on radio] Understood. I'll stay on its tail. [off radio] It's heading towards the town where Eggman is imprisoned.	[on radio] Roger. I'll stay on its tail. [off radio] Headquarters thinks that machine's headed for the jail where Eggman's locked up!
Amy:	So that means Eggman created that machine. If it charges into town, the town will be destroyed! Sam!	That thing'll break in so Eggman can break out! If we let that thing get into the city, Eggman'll be on the loose again. We've gotta stop it somehow, Sam!
Sam:	Miss, we're not superheroes like Sonic.	You're right, but my car is mo match for an armored beast like that.
Amy:	But we have to do whatever we can!	If you catch him, I'll stop him!
Sam:	Okay, hang on tight!	Okay, then hang on, Amy.
	Sam presses a few buttons.
Sam:	Mode change!	I changed to Racing Mode!
	Amy sits down as the vehicle changes shape. The wheels move closer together. Amy's seat is moved behind Sam's. An exhaust appears, and wings extends out of the sides of the car.
Sam:	This is the true form of my new super machine!	Now let's chase that mean machine down and run it off the road!
Amy:	No way!	OMIT
Pause for commercial break.
	Sam now wears his helmet, and Amy sports safety goggles. The added speed allows them to gain on the Bomb Tank, but is still not quite enough.
Amy:	We can't catch up!	We're losing it!
Sam:	We'll take a shortcut and face it head-on!	Don't worry! I know a shortcut!
	He drives off-road, and soon re-enters the road some distance ahead of the Bomb Tank. Amy stands again as they speed toward the tank head-on.
Amy:	Here it comes!	Steady, Sam!
	Amy has her hammer at the ready.
Sam:	We only have one chance. Make it count!	You only have one swing, Amy.
Amy:	Leave it to me!	That's all I need.
	Sam presses a button, and Amy readies her hammer as they approach the Bomb Tank. As they pass, Amy swings the hammer. It become embedded in the Bomb Tank, and it slows to a stop. Amy watches as the Bomb Tank crackles and explodes.
Amy:	We did it!	We did it!
Sam:	Nice fight!	Great work, Amy!
	They feel the wind rushing at them.
Sam:	Do you feel it, Miss? It's the wind blowing towards us.	Isn't this a great feeling? We're almost at Sonic's speed.
	He gives a thumbs-up as Amy enjoys the sensation.
Amy:	This is what Sonic always sees.	Sonic, now I understand why you love to run!
Eggman's prison.
	Bokkun is now in the prison with the others.
Eggman:	Glare.	OMIT
	Bokkun grins sheepishly as the others glare at him.
Decoe: Bocoe:	Glare.	OMIT
Bokkun:	Don't look at me like that. My job is to relay messages, you meanies!	Don't be angry at me. It isn't my fault you're still in jail. Honest!
	He lets loose the waterworks.
The beach.
	Amy and Sam are enjoying the sunset at the beach.
Amy:	It's the first time that I traveled that fast on land.	When we were racing down that road, I felt so alive. It was incredible!
Sam:	That was still slow speed. When you pass the speed of sound, it's even more impressive.	You could go even faster. You should try supersonic speed.
Amy:	I wish I could see that.	Maybe someday.
Sam:	That would be difficult for amateurs. You'll need training. After all, we're not superheroes.	You know... This turned out to be one of the best dates I've ever had.
Amy:	OMIT	This is beautiful. And getting here was sort of fun.
	Amy and Sam glance at each other.
Amy:	But I'll try harder. I guess I'm not the type who gives up easily.	Thank you, Sam. If it wasn't for you, I would have spent all day feeling sad.
Sam:	The person who always wins a match is the one who refuses to give up.	Day's not over yet. You can still be in for a surprise.
	They look up to see Sonic standing there.
Sonic:	Amy! I'm sorry I'm late!	Hey there! Sorry I'm late!
	Amy leaps off the car and runs toward Sonic.
Amy:	Sonic!	Sonic, you do care about me!
	Amy is just about to hug Sonic, but he sidesteps, causing her to fall. Sonic approaches Sam.
Sonic:	I'm sorry to keep you waiting.	I'm ready to race, Sam.
Sam:	No problem, I just arrived. I'm going to beat you today!	My car has a new engine. It'll blast right past ya!
Sonic:	We'll see about that.	We'll see about that.
	Sam leaps into his car as Amy starts to get up.
Sonic:	Okay.	Ready when you are!
Sam:	Ready... Go!	Get set... Go!
	Amy watches the two take off into the sunset.
Amy:	[gritted teeth] Those guys… [shouting] I really hate men!	[gritted teeth] Those two guys... [shouting] This was definitely the worst day ever!!
Thorndyke Mansion - Outside.
	Cream is taking a walk with Cheese.
Cream:	I wonder what we're having for dinner? Walking around works up an appetite, doesn't it, Cheese?	It's getting late, Cheese. We'd better go inside or Ella will get worried. I hope she's cooking us a big dinner tonight because all that playing made me hungry.
	Cream becomes aware of a movement in the bushes.
Cream:	OMIT	Hey, look...
Cheese:	Chao...	Chao...
	She peeks in to see the robot. Its eyes are back to its normal shade of blue.
